The German Embassy handles a large number of issues, but visa issues are handled exclusively by the visa department of the German Embassy.

The consular and legal (visa) department of the German Embassy is responsible for issuing visas for Belarusians. Also, German citizens in Belarus should contact this address. The visa department provides support to German citizens and also issues travel documents.
Documents for the embassy
Depending on the purpose of your visit, the documents for the German embassy may vary slightly. There is a basic list of documents that must be provided mandatory for all types of visas and additional documents that depend on the purpose of the visit.
Please note. The German embassy requires a complete list of documents specified below. Otherwise, your application will be rejected and you will have to reschedule an appointment to apply for a visa.
Basic list of documents:
- Passport. The travel document must have been issued no more than 10 years ago, and its expiration date must exceed the expiration date of the requested visa by three months. In addition, the passport must have at least 2 blank pages for the visa in the VISAS section.
Copies of passport pages 31-33.
- Current photo. The applicant must provide 2 current color photos measuring 3.5 x 4.5 cm. One photo must be affixed to the visa application form, and the other attached to the documents.
Application form. The visa application form for Germany can be filled out by hand. If the form is filled out by hand, items 1 and 3 must be completed in accordance with the passport. See the Sample of filling out the visa application form for Germany.
Medical insurance policy. A German visa gives its holder the opportunity to move freely within the EU. In this regard, when applying for insurance, pay attention to the territory covered by the policy. The policy must be valid in all EU countries. Insurance amount from 30,000 EUR.
Consular fee. Today, the amount of the consular fee at the German embassy is 60€. Only children under 12 years of age are exempt from paying the consular fee.
