    Working in Russia. How a Belarusian can get legal employment

    Employment in Russia.

    To legally work in Russia, a Belarusian citizen must obtain an employment contract and a temporary residence permit (or a permanent residence permit).

    Medical care abroad.

    Since January 1, 2017, according to the Treaty on the establishment of the EAEU, working Belarusians (including those temporarily staying) can obtain a compulsory health insurance policy (CHIP) for free and visit state clinics for free, on an equal basis with Russians.

    In Russia, the policy is issued by compulsory health insurance organizations (insurance companies) that operate in the field of compulsory medical insurance. A citizen of Belarus independently chooses the insurance company in which it is convenient for him to obtain a CHIP policy, regardless of his registration address.

    Obtaining a CHIP policy

    To obtain a CHIP policy, a Belarusian citizen must go to the CHIP policy issuing point and write an application.

    The application form must contain the following information:
    - the surname, name, and patronymic of the Belarusian citizen;
    - gender;
    - date of birth and place of birth;
    - citizenship of the applicant;
    - SNILS number;
    - passport details or other details of the identity document of the Belarusian citizen;
    - details of the employment contract, including the start date and end date of the contract;
    - information about the place of stay and the duration of stay;
    - contact information for the applicant: phone number, email address.

    The CHIP policy is valid until the end of the calendar year, but not longer than the period of the employment contract.

    The following documents are required to obtain a policy:
    - passport;
    - copy of the employment contract;
    - SNILS pension insurance number;
    - copy of registration at the place of stay.

    If any of the above documents are missing, obtaining a CHIP policy is impossible, and medical services will be paid.
