Project completed. 2012 - 2013 y. Organization and conduct of joint events on the issue of human trafficking with the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Belarus in the Brest region.
The project "Organization and conduct of joint activities on the problem of human trafficking with the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Belarus in the Brest region" was implemented in 2012-2013 with the financial support of the Small Grants Program of the US Embassy in the Republic of Belarus.Goal: To develop a mechanism for interaction with the newly created management structure of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Belarus in the Brest region on issues of combating human trafficking and working with victims of labor, sexual or other exploitation through the conduct of joint preventive measures.
As part of this project, the manual "Combating Human Trafficking: Current State and Opportunities for Interaction between Preliminary Investigation Bodies and Non-Governmental Organizations" was published. The authors of the manual are M.P. Shrub, Candidate of Legal Sciences, Associate Professor (introduction; chapters 1-3; sections 4.1, 4.3; conclusion; appendices 1,2), L.N. Istomova, Chairperson of the NGO "Club of Business Women" (section 4.2; appendices 3,4). The manual is intended for the professional community in the field of combating human trafficking - practitioners from law enforcement agencies and non-governmental organizations, as well as researchers, university students and faculty members of legal departments.
Information materials were printed for distribution among employees of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Belarus in the Brest region during seminars in the Baranovichi Interdistrict Department of the IC of the RB with the participation of the Hancavichy, Ivacevich, Berezovsky, Pruzhany, Baranovichi and Baranovichi City Departments of the IC of the RB; Pinsk Interdistrict Department of the IC of the RB with the participation of the district departments of Stolin, Pinsk, Luninets, Ivanovo and Pinsk City Department of the IC of the RB; Brest Interdistrict Department of the IC of the RB with the participation of the district departments of Kobrin, Drohichin, Kamenets, Zhabinovka, Malorita, Brest, Leninsky (Brest), Moskovsky (Brest) IC of the RB.
