In case of unforeseen situations in Poland, you can seek help using the following emergency services numbers:
999 – ambulance service (Pogotowie ratunkowe)
998 – fire service (Straż pożarna)
997 – police (Policja)
112 – free European rescue service. Number 112 (GSM system standard) is the most well-known phone number for urgent assistance. It is a single phone number for all European Union countries to call in emergency situations. This number will connect you with the necessary services regardless of the network you are using. You can get any help through this number, including that provided by the lines 997, 998, and 999.

In addition, tourists can use the "Safety Phone" line 0 800 200 300 – from landlines and payphones (free)
