    Traveling to Turkey: What You Should Know About Tourism

    Personal safety rules while vacationing in Turkey

    Since June 1, 2014, the Agreement between the governments of the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Turkey on the mutual abolition of visas has entered into force. This means that Belarusian citizens will be able to stay in the territory of the Republic of Turkey for tourism purposes for up to 30 days without obtaining a visa. This refers to a 30-day period from the date of entry. Within one year, it will be possible to enter the Republic of Turkey for tourism purposes without a visa multiple times, but the total duration of such stay should not exceed 90 days.

    Useful information: safety of tourists in the Republic of Turkey.

    The Republic of Turkey is one of the safest countries for tourism. Both Turks and the police are very loyal to tourists. The Republic of Turkey strives to minimize crime, and the gendarmerie patrols resorts in the dark.

    You can walk freely on all resorts, whenever and wherever you want. There are few pickpockets in Turkey, but no one is immune from petty theft, and hotels usually are not responsible for items in rooms, so it is recommended to keep documents and valuables in a safe. A safe in a hotel will cost 1-3 dollars, or even be free.

    The Republic of Turkey has a serious drawback as a holiday destination — the water in the tap is of poor quality. Even in a restaurant, it will be considered natural to put a jug of cold tap water on your table. Therefore, to avoid spoiling your holiday with intestinal problems, buy drinking water, which is sold literally at every step.

    You also need to be careful when choosing food. Some local dishes are quite spicy or fatty and contain a lot of spices that are unusual for our stomach. Therefore, to begin with, it is worth limiting yourself to a small portion to find out how your stomach will react to this dish.

    There are passport hunters in the Republic of Turkey, this even has its own name — delinquency, but there is no need to carry your passport with you everywhere, you can leave it in the safe of the hotel with the rest of your valuables, and take a copy of the passport with you if necessary.

    In case of loss of passport, you must:

    • obtain a document from the police about the loss or theft of your passport;
    • have 2 photographs;
    • contact the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the Republic of Turkey by phone and make an appointment (phone numbers of embassies in the "Useful information" section);
    • apply to the consular department of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the Republic of Turkey for the issuance of the "Certificate of Entry (Return) to Belarus" and, if available, military ID, driver's license;
    • receive a document temporarily replacing the passport;
    • pay the expenses of the Embassy;
    • Upon returning home, you are required to submit this certificate with border crossing marks to the Department of Citizenship and Migration at your place of residence.

    In the absence of documents, the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the Republic of Turkey will send a request to the internal affairs bodies at your place of residence in the Republic of Belarus to verify your identity.

    Description of resorts

    Major resorts in the Republic of Turkey

    The Antalya coast of the Republic of Turkey is the largest resort area. The warm Mediterranean Sea, the warmest climate, a wide range of hotels from budget to very high-end, as well as beautiful nature and a large number of sightseeing attractions have made the Antalya coast the most popular holiday destination in Turkey. Flight to Antalya airport. The main resorts on the Turkish Mediterranean coast:

    Kemer is the most beautiful resort on the Antalya coast. It is located south of Antalya and includes the town of Kemer itself, as well as the villages of Beldibi, Goynik, Kiris, Camyuva, and Tekirova. In Kemer, the mountains come close to the sea, so firstly, it has the most beautiful views, secondly, Kemer's beaches are pebble (some hotels bring sand to their beaches, but even in such hotels, there is pebble at the entrance to the sea), and thirdly, the climate in Kemer is slightly more humid than in other regions of Turkey. In the town of Kemer and the village of Beldibi, there are several good discos and nightclubs. Kemer's city nightclubs are quite high-level, and therefore Kemer is well suited for party-going youth.

    Antalya is the capital of the Antalya region, and the airport is located in Antalya. In Antalya, there are inexpensive city hotels of categories 2-5*. In addition, in the Antalya region, there are the areas of Lara and Kundu, where there are hotels of category 5* from just high to very high level, most of which operate on the "ultra all-inclusive" system. The beaches in the Lara and Kundu areas are sandy, and the entrance to the sea is gentle and convenient. Moreover, отдыха в отелях Лара и Кунду прекрасно подходит для туристов с маленькими детьми благодаря хорошим пляжам и небольшому расстоянию от аэропорта.

    Belek is the greenest resort in Turkey. Almost the entire Belek region has been declared a nature reserve, with many rare trees and flowers growing here. Belek's hotels are almost all of category 5*, ranging from just good 5* to VIP level. Most of Belek's hotels have large green areas. The beaches in Belek are either purely sandy or sandy with a small amount of small pebbles.

    Side is one of the best family resorts in Turkey. Good beaches, good hotels, most of which are of categories 4-5*, as well as a pleasant climate make Side one of the best options for отдыха с детьми.

    Alanya is one of the most popular and beloved resorts in Turkey. The Alanya region includes both the city of Alanya and the settlements of Okurджаalar, Avsallar/Incekum, Konakli, Obakyu and Mahmutlar. Most hotels in Alanya are oriented towards a relaxing family holiday, but in Alanya itself there are several inexpensive 3* hotels that are suitable for a youth holiday. Many hotels in the Alanya region are located across the road from the sea, most often an underground passage is built under the road. Alanya is the farthest resort from Antalya Airport. Because of this, Alanya is generally a cheaper resort than, say, Kemer or Side. A holiday in Alanya is most often the most profitable in terms of price/quality ratio, and that is why Alanya is one of the most popular resorts in Turkey.

    The Aegean coast of Turkey — beautiful mountains, mild climate, more "European" resorts and a rich excursion program — all this is a holiday on the Aegean coast of Turkey. There are several flight options on the Aegean coast of Turkey: a flight to Dalaman Airport (resorts: Marmaris, Fethiye, Bodrum), a flight to Milas Airport (resorts: Bodrum, Marmaris, Didim), a flight to Izmir Airport (resorts: Kusadasi, Didim, Cesme).

    Marmaris is the most happening resort in Turkey. Many discos and nightclubs on "Bar Street" attract young people from all over Europe, and free entry to almost all discos only adds to Marmaris' popularity as the main party resort in Turkey. Many 3* hotels in Marmaris are located on the second line and do not have their own beach, but this does not bother most vacationers at all.

    Fethiye is a small resort oriented towards high-quality family отдыха. There are not many "Russian" tourists in most hotels in Fethiye.

    Bodrum is another happening resort. In Bodrum, some hotels are located in the city itself, they are convenient for lovers of an eventful night life, the rest of the hotels are suitable for a relaxing holiday. The beaches in Bodrum are pebble or platform beaches.

    Kusadasi is one of the most popular and favorite resorts among Belarusian tourists. In Kusadasi, most vacationers are from Europe and Belarus, there are few Russians and Ukrainians. Kusadasi is chosen for its good sandy beaches, a milder climate compared to the Antalya coast, and good hotels. There are also several new high-level hotels. Kusadasi is one of the few resorts in Turkey where prices for flights from Minsk are not much different from prices for flights from Moscow.

    Didim is a small resort located between Bodrum and Kusadasi. Didim began to be sold on the Russian and Belarusian markets not so long ago, however, отдых in Didim is gradually gaining popularity. The beaches in Didim are sandy and pebbly, and the hotels are well suited for high-quality family отдыха.

    Cesme is a small resort located on the Aegean coast of Turkey, a little north of Kusadasi, not far from the city of Izmir.

    Most отдыхаmakers in Çeşme are Europeans; there are still not many tourists from Russia and Belarus in Çeşme.

    Calls and written inquiries are temporarily not accepted.
