Diplomats advise Belarusians to leave Iran themselves through Armenia and Azerbaijan.
Diplomats strongly recommend Belarusians to leave Iran on their own with the closure of its airspace through two countries. This was reported at the embassy.
The available land routes for independent departures from Iran at the moment are Armenia or Azerbaijan. The optimal point is called the Nurduz-Agarak checkpoint, which is an Armenian destination.
"Prior individual permits are required to travel through Azerbaijan," the diplomatic mission notes the specifics of passing through the Astara checkpoint.
To obtain such a permit, the Embassy requests that the last name, first name, and patronymic of those leaving the country be sent in advance in Russian and English, dates of birth, passport numbers, expiration date, entry marks to Iran, contact phone numbers, and a color copy of the passport. Available contacts: Iranian messenger BALE (+989122152935); RUBIKA (+989122152935); e-mail iran@mfa.gov.by ; WhatsApp* (+989300037990).
The diplomats also remind the emergency communication methods of the Belarusian Embassy in Iran.: +98 21 22752229; +98 912 2152935; iran@mfa.gov.by .
Information on further actions will be provided as the situation in the Middle East and in Iran itself develops. The Embassy also recalls the general recommendation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to Belarusians in Iran.:
"Remain vigilant, do not panic, exercise maximum caution, and follow the following personal safety measures."
These include the following:
"Do not approach military and other government facilities (do not take photos or videos); avoid crowded places; strictly follow the instructions of the Embassy of Belarus in Iran and local authorities, if necessary, go to shelters / shelters or (if there are none nearby) to the lower levels of underground parking."
