By decision of the President of the Republic of Belarus, the visa-free regime for entry into the country for citizens of 38 European states has been extended until December 31, 2026. This was reported to BELTA by the press service of the Belarusian leader.
The conditions for visa-free entry remain the same. Citizens of these countries can cross the state border of Belarus through all road and railway international checkpoints using valid travel documents. The period of stay in Belarus is no more than 30 days from the date of entry, and for citizens of Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, and persons with non-citizen status in Latvia, it is no more than 90 days.
The right to visa-free entry can be used an unlimited number of times, provided that the total number of days of stay under the visa-free regime does not exceed 90 days in a calendar year.
The visa-free entry procedure through Belarusian airports also remains in place.
Foreign citizens arriving under the visa-free regime can transit through the country, including air checkpoints, to third countries, with the exception of the Russian Federation.
This procedure does not apply to holders of diplomatic, official, special, and equivalent passports. Holders of biometric diplomatic passports of EU member states can enter, leave, and transit through Belarus without visas in accordance with the agreement between the Republic of Belarus and the EU on the simplification of visa issuance.
Belarus remains open to guests from abroad and is ready to welcome tourists and business partners. The country creates all the necessary conditions for a comfortable and safe stay, demonstrating hospitality and friendliness, which are an integral part of Belarusian society.
Since January 1 of this year, more than 210 thousand foreign citizens from 38 countries included in the visa-free list have arrived in Belarus.
