For the first 9 months of 2025, healthcare organizations in the Brest region exported medical services worth more than $1.4 million, which is 131.3 percent compared to last year.
Victor Mikhalovsky, head of the main health department of the Brest Regional Executive Committee, noted: "The level of equipment and competence of specialists in healthcare institutions in the Brest region creates demand for medical services among foreigners. Foreign citizens come to us for diagnosis and treatment of various diseases. According to preliminary data, for 2025, the income of state-owned healthcare organizations will amount to more than $1.6 million, with a growth rate of 111.2 percent."
In the healthcare organizations of the southwestern region in 2025, almost 9,300 foreign citizens received medical care. The largest volumes of medical care are provided to citizens of the CIS states (7,525 people), including Russia, Ukraine, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, as well as citizens of China, Germany, Niger, and Lebanon.
— We are working on improving the material and technical base of healthcare institutions — modern equipment is being purchased, major repairs are being carried out, new facilities are being built. The Brest Regional Clinical Hospital is the leader in providing assistance to foreign patients, where a surgical building is currently under construction — with its commissioning, there will be more high-tech operations, — added Victor Mikhalovsky.
