Belarus is lifting visa requirements for six countries at once – what is there to see
04.11.2025

It will become easier for citizens of Belarus to travel to six countries in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. This is all thanks to the simplification of the visa regime with them.
Where are we going
The agreements reached provide Belarusians with new opportunities for tourist and business travel. Now, without additional costs and hassle, it will be possible to visit Colombia for a short period, and the agreement with Laos abolishes visas for all holders of ordinary passports.
Citizens of the parties to these agreements holding valid national passports will receive the right to unhindered entry, transit travel, and stay in the territories of the partner countries.
Another part of the signed documents concerns only official representatives of the states. Intergovernmental agreements with Zimbabwe, Uganda, and Guinea-Bissau provide for the complete abolition of visas for holders of diplomatic, official, and service passports.
In addition, the protocol on amendments to the intergovernmental agreement with Turkey was ratified. It improves working conditions for transport workers.
Now drivers and members of transport vehicle crews performing international transportation are exempt from visa requirements when entering, exiting, transiting, and temporarily staying for up to 90 days in any 180-day period.
Previously, this limit was only 30 days with a total annual limit of 90 days. This created significant operational difficulties for logistics companies.
What to see in Colombia
Colombia is a Latin American country with the sea, mountains, jungles, and lost cities of ancient civilizations. And, of course, with unique architecture and неповторимой cuisine.
The temperature there is stable all year round, but depends on the altitude. For example, in coastal cities it stays around +30°C, while in Bogota, the capital of Colombia, at an altitude of 2600 meters, it ranges from +15 to +20°C.
If you enjoy nature, be sure to venture into the heart of the Sierra de la Macarena mountain range, where you can descend to the unique Caño Cristales, or "river of five colors." Its waters change color along its length, from yellow and blue to green, black, and even red.
And if you prefer ancient architecture, visit the "Colombian Machu Picchu" – the lost city of Ciudad Perdida. These are the ruins of a settlement of the Tairona culture, which, according to scientists, was founded around 800 AD.
But Colombia is also famous for its resorts. Those who want to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of eternal celebration will definitely find a place to relax there.
Why Laos is interesting
Laos is an Asian country. It is famous for its temples, waterfalls, and ancient culture. The landscapes of Laos are a succession of mountain ranges covered with dense jungles and fertile valleys through which the great Mekong River flows.
It makes sense to start getting to know Laos with its capital – Vientiane. This city is notable for the combination of a rich historical heritage and modern infrastructure, including restaurants, shopping centers, and vibrant clubs.
But the real gem and cultural capital of the country is Luang Prabang, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The city attracts travelers with its ancient monasteries, charming French colonial architecture, and leisurely atmosphere. It also serves as a convenient starting point for exploring the picturesque mountainous regions of Laos.
And if you enjoy ecotourism, then in Namha National Park, routes of varying difficulty await you – from multi-day treks to leisurely walks through pristine tropical forests with rich flora and fauna.
