    What you need to know before traveling abroad for studies, how to get a student visa

    30.10.2025
       Promises of studying without a visa and documents? It could be a scam.

       The hotline receives questions when young people from Belarus fulfill all the document requirements for admission to educational institutions in Poland, but cannot collect the documents to apply for a visa.

       In such cases, all efforts are wasted, leaving frustration and unfulfilled expectations. How to protect yourself when applying to a foreign university, prevent such a situation, and obtain a student visa to Poland?

       Documents required to apply for a visa in case of admission to a university or graduate school:

       - completed application form with photo;

       - photo for the visa;

       - passport: original and photocopies of pages with previous visas;

       - certificate confirming admission (issued by the university);

       - proof of payment for tuition;

       - documents proving the availability of funds for living expenses and possible return (credit card, bank card, account statement, scholarship award letter);

       - insurance policy (for the entire period of study).

       Visas for studying in Poland

       Belarusians can obtain two types of visas: a national long-term visa or a Schengen short-term visa (suitable for language courses, internships, etc.).

       Safe departure for study is your protection.
