How can Ukrainian citizens get additional protection in Belarus?

The validity period of such protection is up to 1 year, with the possibility of extension.
Registration of additional protection.
1. Personally contact the Office of Citizenship and Migration (UGIM) at your place of temporary residence.
2. Upon submission, you will be given a certificate of acceptance of the application.
3. Your passport will temporarily remain in UGiM for the duration of the application review.
4. If protection is provided, you will receive a certificate of additional protection, and your passport will be returned to you.
What documents are needed?

According to the Resolution of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus dated June 22, 2017 No. 173, when submitting an application, you (if possible) provide:
• passport or other identification documents,
• travel documents confirming how you arrived in Belarus,
• residence permit in other countries (if any),
• other materials and certificates that may help in the case consideration.

How to extend additional protection in Belarus?
To extend additional protection, you must reapply with a petition for additional protection provision, but not earlier than two months before the expiration of the current additional protection.
Important to know
• Due to a large number of applications, the waiting period for submitting an application can be up to two to three months.
• Therefore, as soon as you have a temporary residence permit, you can go to the Migration and Citizenship Department to sign up for submitting a petition.
• A foreigner applying for protection must undergo state fingerprint registration and medical examination.
