Visa-free travel to Vietnam has become available for citizens of Belarus.

    30.01.2025
The intergovernmental agreement on visa-free travel for Belarusian citizens to Vietnam and for Vietnamese citizens to Belarus officially entered into force on Thursday.

The document was signed on December 8, 2023, in Hanoi. Each trip can last up to 30 days.

The total period of stay in the territory of the state of one of the parties to the agreement should not exceed 90 days within a calendar year, the Belarusian embassy in Vietnam reported earlier.

Both Vietnam and Minsk have the right to suspend visa-free travel completely or partially to ensure national security, public order, during epidemics, natural disasters, and in other cases.

Belarusian travel agencies sold tours to Vietnam, including its sea resorts, even before the introduction of visa-free travel. Departures from Minsk with a transfer in Moscow are offered.

In addition to Vietnam, Belarusian citizens can travel without visas to a number of other countries. According to the website of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry, these countries include Azerbaijan, Albania, Brazil, Georgia, Kazakhstan, China (including its special regions Hong Kong and Macao), Cuba, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, Mongolia, Serbia, Turkey, Tunisia, Montenegro, and others.
