The Foreign Ministry spoke about new destinations where Belarusians do not need a visa.
The Foreign Ministry named new countries with visa-free entry for Belarusians. Details were announced on СТВ by Andrey Kozhan, head of the Main Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
He recalled that in 2018 an agreement was concluded with China, which implies visa-free entry. At the same time, he noted:
— I think that today China may not allow everyone to do this.
Kozhan also clarified that active work is being done to ensure that the opportunities for travel remain. He noted that Belarus has an agreement with the United Arab Emirates.
— More than visa-free, more than a tourist destination.
The head of the Main Consular Department of the Foreign Ministry also mentioned the visa-free agreement with Albania, clarifying that this option is relative since there are no direct flights. According to him, an agreement was signed with Vietnam, which is expected to come into force and operate very soon.
— What we will sign: we are indeed working proactively and to the maximum with Southeast Asia, — Kozhan emphasized.
He clarified that the Belarusian side will be able to reach signing a similar agreement with Thailand.
— For now, with visas, paying money, and so on. And we expect that this procedure will eventually be simplified and it will be easier to travel there too, — the representative of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry emphasized.
