Here are some tips on how to protect your children from unwanted attention on social media.:
1. Do not post photos or videos of children eating ice cream, lollipops, bananas, etc.
2. Do not post photos of your children in swimsuits. You will be surprised how sexualized comments are written by men on the Internet under photos of children in swimsuits and even just in open clothes: skirts, summer dresses, shorts, etc.
3. Do not post videos on social media in which your child is hysterical and crying. Some criminals fetishize tears and screams. Besides, it's unethical to post a video showing your child in such a vulnerable position. Most likely, when he grows up and finds out about it, it will be very unpleasant for him.
4. Do not post videos on social media showing a child recovering from anesthesia. The reasons are the same as in the previous paragraph: the state of confused consciousness can be fetishized by criminals.
5. If you use dating apps, do not post photos of yourself and your child in them and do not indicate their age. Of course, many people would refuse such conditions, but if the tenant, for example, is a single mother in despair, she simply cannot afford to be picky.
