Will Israel's new electronic entry permits be required for Belarusians?
29.04.2024
What do Belarusians need to come to Israel at the moment?
Currently, there is a visa-free regime between Israel and Belarus. Belarusians can stay in Israel continuously for up to 90 days within 6 months.
What will change?
In 2024, Israel
plans to introduce ETA (Electronic Travel Authorization) — electronic travel authorizations. They will be valid for many countries in Europe, America, Asia, Africa, and Oceania (that is, for all countries whose citizens do not need a visa to enter Israel). Belarus is on this list.

The exact dates when these authorizations will come into effect are still unknown. However, it is certain that they will not replace a visa: obtaining such authorizations will be much simpler, faster, and cheaper.
How to obtain travel authorization?
1. Fill out the online form: passport details, your contact information, presence or absence of criminal record, employment, health status, and your income.
2. Pay the fee.
3. Wait for confirmation of your application. It will come to the email you provided.
4. Receive approval of your application. Processing will take about 3 days (but may take up to a week).
Thus, you will need a valid passport, a credit or debit card to pay the fee, an email address, and a stable internet connection.
ETA will be valid for up to two years; after this period, you will need to apply for it again. You can still come to Israel under this authorization for a maximum of 90 days.
Do children need to apply for ETA?
Yes, an entry permit is issued to all foreigners without exception, both infants and pensioners.
Can I be denied entry approval?
Yes, for example, if you entered incorrect/incomplete information, skipped answers to some questions, have serious criminal records, or violated the stay period for foreigners in Israel in the past.
Does ETA guarantee that I will be allowed into Israel?
No. As before, for some reasons, you may be turned away at passport control and not allowed to enter the country.
Is it dangerous to visit Islamic countries in the Middle East (such as Iran, Lebanon, and others) after entering Israel with ETA?
In theory, no. ETA is an electronic document, and no marks will be made in your passport about visiting Israel with ETA.
