Belarus terminated the agreement on pensions with Ukraine

    30.11.2023
The document allowed the payment of pensions to citizens of the two countries and was signed by the Belarusian and Ukrainian authorities in 1995.

The document card on the termination of the pension agreement is posted on the National Legal Portal.

"On termination of the Agreement between the Social Protection Fund of the Ministry of Social Protection of the Republic of Belarus and the Pension Fund of Ukraine on mutual transfer and payment of pensions," the resolution is signed on the website.

Earlier this May, it became known that the Ukrainian parliament had denounced the agreement between Kiev and Minsk on pension provision for citizens of the two countries.

It turns out that now Ukrainian pensioners in Belarus and Belarusians on Ukrainian territory will not be able to receive their pension transfers.

The international agreement affected old-age, disability, long-service and survivor's pensions.

At the same time, the document did not address the issues of pension payments to military personnel, officers and enlisted personnel of internal affairs bodies, as well as state security officers and their family members.
