A special arrival procedure has been introduced for Ukrainians entering Russia.
A special procedure for entry into the territory of Russia, neighboring Belarus, has been introduced for Ukrainians arriving from third countries, RIA Novosti reported.
Thus, starting from 00:00 on October 16, Ukrainian citizens who arrive in Russia from third countries will be required to comply with a special entry procedure approved by the Russian government.
"This is a temporary measure aimed at ensuring the safety of the inhabitants of our country in the prevailing geopolitical conditions," the government decree says.
Therefore, from October 16, arriving Ukrainians will be able to enter Russia only through the Ludonka automobile checkpoint, which is located in the Pskov region neighboring Belarus, or through Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport. This rule applies to all Ukrainians over the age of 14, as well as Ukrainian citizens under the age of 14, if they travel to Russia accompanied by a legal representative, guardian or trustee from among foreigners.
The document says about the exclusion for children under the age of 14 who travel from third countries by themselves or accompanied by Russians. They will still be able to enter through any checkpoints. Also, the procedure for entry into the territory of Russia remains the same for Ukrainian citizens who are located in the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporizhia regions. They can enter the territory of the Russian Federation through checkpoints located on the administrative border between the new regions and adjacent territories.
The restriction of entry to Russia of Ukrainians arriving from third countries is entrusted to the control of the FSB. The Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Ministry of Transport of the country will also have to provide temporary accommodation for Ukrainian citizens arriving in the country, if necessary, and the Federal Air Transport Agency will have to inform airlines about new measures. The Ministry of Transport should inform Russian and foreign transport companies about the innovations.
The Russian Foreign Ministry should also inform neighboring countries, including the Belarusian authorities, about the changes.
