The state of epidemic threat in Poland will be lifted on July 1. The draft of the relevant order of the Minister of Health was registered today in the legal system of the Polish government. Earlier, the head of the Ministry of Health, Adam Niedzielski, had already announced his intention not to extend the epidemic threat.
Prior to this, the state of epidemic threat was extended until June 30. The new draft proposes the abolition of this regime, introduced on May 12, 2022, after the cancellation of the coronavirus epidemic in the country. At the moment, it is published for public consultation.
The state of epidemic threat obliged the wearing of masks in healthcare facilities. Also, during its period of validity, many documents were extended, including national visas, residence permits, work permits. At the beginning of the year, amendments were made to the legislation, which provided for the repeal of provisions of the anti-covid law extending the validity of these documents. The amendments are due to enter into force on August 24.
However, due to the fact that the regime of epidemic threat will be lifted earlier, the extended documents will also lose their validity earlier. After June 30, foreigners will have another 30 days to resolve their stay in the country.
