To the Barents Sea resorts: "Belavia" launches a flight to Murmansk
19.04.2023

Belaвиа will operate the first regular flight from Minsk to Murmansk on May 23, the carrier's press service reports.
"It is planned that flights will be operated on Tuesdays: departure from Minsk at 10.15, arrival in Murmansk at 13.00. Return flights from Murmansk International Airport will be operated at 14.00, arrival in Minsk is scheduled for 16.40," Belavia said.
How much are the tickets and how long is the flight
Currently, the cost of a one-way flight is set at 134 euros, and round trip at 244 euros, but it should be taken into account that this is the LIGHT tariff. This means that the flight can cost a much larger amount.
"Passengers will travel on this route on the Embraer 195 aircraft," the Belavia press service said.
The press service of the Belarusian carrier drew attention to the fact that the flight to the Arctic will take 3 hours. The airport is located 24 kilometers from the city.
"The road to the airport takes about an hour: buses and маршрутные taxis constantly run for the convenience of passengers," Belavia noted.
After the northern lights
"We expect this route to be in demand among business representatives. Murmansk is known as a large industrial center, fish processing, metal processing and other industries are well developed here," said Belavia CEO Igor Cherginets.
In his opinion, this Russian region has an impressive logistics potential because a large port is located there. Therefore, the new route will be interesting for tourists who prefer "non-trivial routes."
"Here you can see the northern lights, visit ski slopes, picturesque hills and a real nuclear icebreaker, go for a sea walk and watch whales," said Igor Cherginets.
Arctic cruise
Russia organizes tourist trips to the Arctic Ocean. This year, such a trip is offered on the nuclear-powered icebreaker "50 Years of Victory" (Atomflot company of Rosatom State Corporation).
The next cruise is scheduled for July 11-23, 2023. The start is in Murmansk. Then the ship will head to the North Pole. Along the way, Arctic tourists will be able to see the Franz Josef Land archipelago, icebergs and other beauties. Helicopter flights over the Arctic are also included in the program. The price of such a trip is from 2.2 million Russian rubles per person (more than 26.9 thousand dollars or about 79 thousand Belarusian rubles).
