Citizens of Belarus can enter Russia by air without a PCR test starting from July 14.

    13.07.2022
Citizens of Belarus can enter Russia by air without a PCR test starting from July 14. This follows from the resolution of the Chief State Sanitary Doctor of the Russian Federation, Anna Popova, published today on the official Russian legal information internet portal, BELTA reports.

The document amends the previous resolution of the Chief State Sanitary Doctor of the Russian Federation dated March 18, 2020, No. 7 "On Ensuring the Isolation Regime to Prevent the Spread of COVID-2019". According to these changes, the requirement to have a medical document confirming a negative result of a PCR laboratory test for COVID-19, taken no earlier than two calendar days before arriving in the territory of the Russian Federation, does not apply to citizens of the Republic of Belarus.

The resolution also states that it comes into force the day after its official publication.

As BELTA reported, on July 4, the operational headquarters for preventing the import and spread of coronavirus infection in the territory of the Russian Federation published information that a decision has been made to cancel the requirement to provide PCR test results for COVID-19 for citizens of the Republic of Belarus arriving by air in Russia. It was indicated that the relevant changes must be made to the resolution of the Chief State Sanitary Doctor of the Russian Federation.

"The operational headquarters has decided to cancel the requirement to provide PCR test results for COVID-19 for citizens of the Republic of Belarus arriving by air in Russia. The relevant changes will be made to the resolution of the Chief State Sanitary Doctor of the Russian Federation dated March 18, 2020, No. 7. For other citizens, the requirement to provide PCR test results remains," the message of the operational headquarters said.
