When choosing a summer vacation this year, Belarusians are increasingly looking at the price of the tour. Perhaps one of the cheapest options for a ten-day seaside vacation will cost $140. But you will have to get to the resort by bus for about 15 hours, plus waiting at the border. Where will Belarusians go on vacation in the summer and how much are they willing to spend on vacation?

According to experts of the tourism market, the most popular holiday destination for Belarusians this summer will be Ukrainian Zatoka. Tour operators even promise that the flow of our tourists to this resort this year will almost equal the flow to Bulgaria. Let us remind you that, according to Belstat, in 2017 Belarusians most often went on vacation outside the CIS countries. The top 5 destinations without CIS countries included Turkey (140,159 people), Egypt (123,814 people), Bulgaria (62,356 people), Poland (36,187 people) and Spain (31,403).
According to Lilia Kobzik, editor-in-chief of the TIO travel portal.BY the way, this season you can relax in Zatoka, near Odessa, for ten days with meals, even for 140-160 dollars. However, you will have to get there by bus — the journey will take about 15 hours, plus downtime at the border. For $240, you can already relax more comfortably. Zatoka attracts Belarusians precisely with its low price and quite a good vacation for that kind of money.
— Does the tourist season in Zatoka swing by 10?On June 15, when the Black Sea warms up. This season, a huge number of buses will travel there from Belarus, including from the regions. Zatoka is our new Crimea. It is more expensive to relax in Odessa than in Zatoka, and Belarusians fell in love with it precisely for its cheapness and democracy. In fact, this is the only cheap way for us to go to the seaside," she says.
Lilia Kobzik notes that the living conditions during a vacation in Zatoka for 140-160 dollars are not "board sheds that were rented to vacationers in Sochi and Crimea in Soviet films."
— Most often these are small hotels with small rooms, some have air conditioning, and some don't, room amenities. Many hotels offer accommodation with breakfast, but there are many family-type cafes in the resort where you can eat.
The weak point of this journey is our buses. Companies do not hide the fact that there are cases when they break down and get stuck somewhere. Better transport goes to Western Europe, and already to Odessa and Zatoka — simpler buses.
I think people understand where they are going. If you pay $160 for ten days with meals, you accept that the conditions will be modest, but they will not degrade human dignity. At the same time, the resort is developing, of course, while everything there is not the same as in Bulgaria and Greece, but the last two years there has been a wild rise in this direction," says Lilia Kobzik.
You can get to Zatoka not only by bus, but also by car, you can also get to Odessa, from which Zatoka is about 64 km away, by train (a ticket in a compartment costs a little more than 160 rubles one way) or fly by plane from Minsk (a Belavia ticket in June in one direction (it may cost a little more than 220 rubles).
Prices for holidays in Turkey have increased
According to Lilia Kobzik, Bulgaria will be in second place in popularity among Belarusians this summer. This season, its prices have increased compared to last year. But with an early booking, it was possible to buy a tour for a week with breakfasts costing up to 400 euros per person. Now prices on average start from 500 euros. According to the TOP TOUR company, a 9-night tour to Bulgaria with breakfast for two adults and a child in a 4* hotel will cost from 1100 euros.
— Prices for Bulgaria have increased because this resort is in high demand among Germans. The service there is good, and it is a very calm destination where there have been no terrorist attacks, collisions, or troubles. At the same time, many people in Bulgaria like the calm Black Sea with its golden sandy beach. This holiday option is especially suitable for families with children. In addition, the food is perfectly adapted to our tourists. After all, children need oatmeal porridge with milk in the morning, which is difficult to find in Mediterranean countries.
According to the expert, Turkey, Greece and Spain will also be among the top 5 popular destinations among Belarusians. The cost of a week's rest there will reach the amount of 700?800 euros per person.
Holidays in Turkey this season have increased in price by 10-20% compared to last year. This happened due to the fact that tourists from Russia, Germany and the UK returned there.
"All charters from Russia have been restored there, and the Europeans have also returned to the resort, and the Turks have raised prices to earn money," says the specialist.
According to the Minsk office of the tour operator TEZ TOUR, according to the results of early booking, it is clear that Turkey is still the leader among the destinations for the summer.
— And this is quite understandable, since отдыха in Turkey is the most comfortable for families with children. In the summer season, this is the main destination for tourists, — the company says. — Rest in Greece is also quite popular. A significant part of tourists prefer such regions as the islands of Crete and Rhodes and the Peloponnese peninsula. Egypt can also be included in the top destinations, which, although not absolutely «summer», has already become traditional, due to the attractive price compared to other destinations.
According to the tour operator, in July of this year, prices for tours for 9 nights in the segment of 4* hotels for two adults and one child under 10 years of age to Turkey can cost from 1210 to 4180 dollars, to Greece — from 1890 to 3400 dollars, to Egypt for 10 nights — from 1600 to 4220 dollars.
This season, it is possible again to find inexpensive tours to Albania
Anna Germanovich, a tourism specialist in the tour operator and travel agency activities of the company «TOP-TUR», confirms the top popular destinations for отдыха this summer among Belarusians. According to this company, these will be Greece, Spain, Turkey, Bulgaria and Montenegro.
According to the specialist, compared to last year, the situation on the tourism market is gradually improving, tourists are starting to travel more and choose more expensive отдыха.
— Those who did not travel at all before, choose at least weekend tours. Those who traveled for seven nights last year, ask to choose tours for a longer period — 10?14 nights, — says the specialist.
According to Lilia Kobzik, as last year, it is possible to find quite inexpensive tours to Albania. At the same time, prices inside the country are also quite low: lunch can cost 5?6 euros. But so far it is difficult to call Albania a popular destination for Belarusians: tours there with a flight from Minsk appeared in our country only last year. A tour for seven nights in Albania at a 4* hotel with breakfasts for one person in June can be found for about 500 euros. It should also be taken into account that in Albania the tourism industry is just developing, so there may be construction sites everywhere.
Another interesting destination, according to Lilia Kobzik, is Montenegro. However, a tour there will cost more than to Albania. At the same time, it is cheaper to stay in a villa than in a hotel. You can отдыха for a week in June with a flight from Minsk at a villa with breakfasts for about 400 euros. The company «TOP-TUR» noted that a voucher to Montenegro for 9 nights for a family of three without meals in a 4* hotel will cost from 1350 euros.
