What might be asked when entering Belarus
Our hotline often receives requests from foreign citizens, including Ukrainian citizens, asking what the border guards are asking and how to answer their questions.
Upon entering the Republic of Belarus, any foreigner can be invited for a conversation, it is legitimate.

Sometimes a sample survey is conducted, and in other cases, several people from the same bus may be interviewed in a row.
First of all, you should understand that excitement in this situation is a normal condition of any person. There's only one piece of advice here: you need to deal with anxiety on your own.
If you are not traveling alone, then warn your loved ones that you are being invited to a conversation. The conversation can last up to three hours, this is the permissible time of detention without registration.
What can they ask you?
Where do you study or studied, work or worked; where do you live or have lived; why did you decide to come to the Republic of Belarus? You need to answer calmly and truthfully.
Another set of questions may relate to your stay in our country: "What are you going to do in Belarus", "where will you live", "do you know any Belarusians". It is necessary to answer as truthfully as possible: if you have relatives and friends, then you should know their address and/or phone number.
During or after the conversation, the border guard officer has the right to ask you to show your phone. It is better to open the phone immediately and show it, this confirms that there is nothing incriminating in it. They usually check photos and social media.
