"Who can contact the migration hotline?"
The hotline has been operating since February 5, 2003, based at the Public Association "Club of Business Women" with the support of the International Organization for Migration and in cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and other departments of the Republic of Belarus. In 2025, the hotline celebrated its 22nd anniversary. During this time, more than 76 thousand calls and electronic messages have been received regarding safe travel and employment abroad.
Who is the hotline for?
The hotline serves Belarusians and foreign citizens and provides consultations:
• For citizens planning to travel abroad (employment, study, marriage with a foreigner, temporary or permanent residence);
• For foreign citizens in Belarus who need information on legalization, socialization, and employment;
• For victims of human trafficking, those affected by labor, sexual, or other exploitation;
• For minors affected by violence, including online (preventing child trafficking in cyberspace).
What are the most common issues people call about?
On the hotline, you can get free advice on the following issues:
In 22 years, the hotline has helped to return 290 people affected by human trafficking to their homeland and provided reintegration assistance to 459 clients.
Geography of requests and popular migration destinations
Over the years of operation, the hotline has processed 12,190 calls and electronic messages from foreign citizens from 80 countries. The most popular destinations for Belarusian citizens to leave:
• Russia, Poland, Germany, Turkey, Egypt, the Czech Republic, Italy, Spain, Lithuania, France, the UAE, the USA.
60% of those who contact us are women, 40% are men.
