Do you want to be sure that your child is safe online?

Virtual space is just a reflection of the real world. But like the real world, the virtual world can also be dangerous. Most often in the online world, these dangers can lurk in a child by accident: mistakenly "read" search queries, "pop-up windows", unusual links.

Another danger is that it is possible to establish contacts on the Internet and "get to know" children without their parents' knowledge. This can also be done by an unfamiliar adult with intentions unknown to you.

There are also cases when minors independently, almost voluntarily, post their intimate photos and videos online. Here is the real situation and the reaction of the 16-year-old victim:

"I do not know what to do. I want to sink through the ground. I am very ashamed and scared of what happened. The fact is that my boyfriend (20 years old) posted my explicit photos and videos on the Internet without my knowledge. I believed the guy, I felt real strong feelings, I wanted to please my loved one, that's why I took such photos and videos. I believed this man. What should I do now? What if my parents' and grandmothers' friends see all this? I'm really sorry about what happened right now."

To prevent such situations and protect your child online, we recommend that you be responsible parents, and be sure to talk to your child about the dangers of the Internet.

The rules of behavior and safety on the Internet must be instilled from the moment you allow your child to use gadgets with access to cyberspace. Taking care of preventing the leakage of any personal information about a child on the Internet begins with home education.

Our children need protection, both in the real world and in the virtual: it is important to talk to children about online security. Don't know how to start a conversation with your child about online safety? We'll tell you!
