    To Belarus without a visa

    Today in Belarus, sports, health, and eco-tourism are actively developing. Citizens of about 80 states can visit Belarus without the tedious wait for a visa. This includes almost all of Europe, the USA, Canada, Brazil, Australia, and other countries. A light and carefree trip is possible thanks to the visa-free regime. Experts from the NGO "Club of Business Women" will explain how to use it and what types of "visa-free" Belarus offers.

    30-day visa-free regime in Belarus

    By choosing this type of "visa-free", tourists can freely travel throughout Belarus. The day of arrival and the day of departure are included in the days of stay in Belarus. For example, arriving on January 1st, one must leave the country no later than 23:59 on January 30th. However, the "30 days without a visa" regime applies only when crossing the border through Minsk National Airport. It is also necessary to leave the territory of Belarus through the main Belarusian air harbor. The 30-day visa-free regime does not apply at other airports and at land international border crossings. It does not apply to citizens arriving in Belarus by air from Russia, as well as those flying to Russian airports. This is due to the fact that such flights are considered domestic and border control is not carried out on them.

    The trip should not be related to employment, commercial purposes, and training, the period of which exceeds 30 days. You can come to Belarus and leave it an unlimited number of times. The main thing is that the total period of stay in the country does not exceed 90 days a year.

    The tourist must have:
    • a valid passport or a document replacing it (with a validity period of at least 3 months from the date of departure from the Republic of Belarus);
    • funds in the amount of two base values (one base value is Br25.5) or 22 euros per day of stay;
    • health insurance policy for an amount of at least 10 thousand euros (it can be issued at Minsk National Airport);
    • for citizens of Vietnam, Haiti, Gambia, India, Lebanon, Namibia, Samoa, it is mandatory to have a valid multiple visa of the EU states or the Schengen area with an entry stamp to their territory, as well as air tickets with confirmation of departure from Minsk National Airport within 30 days from the date of entry.
    If a foreigner plans to stay in Belarus for more than five working days, they need to go through the registration procedure. In hotels, hostels, and sanatoriums, guests are registered automatically upon check-in. Electronic registration tourists can do it themselves or contact the internal affairs bodies.

    If due to a valid reason (illness, natural disaster, or other unforeseen circumstances) the stay in the country exceeds 30 days, you must apply to the internal affairs department for a statement requesting an exit visa. In this case, you can leave Belarus at any checkpoint.

    10-day visa-free regime

    Following this regime, entry into the country is open through two regional air harbors and checkpoints on the land border (with Lithuania and Poland). However, with such a "visa-free" status, you cannot freely travel throughout the country. The 10-day regime allows visiting only two tourist and recreational zones in western Belarus. They are not interconnected, so during one trip, you can visit only one of the two visa-free zones:
    • "Brest" (Brest, Brestsky, Zhabinovsky, Kamenetsky, and Pruzhansky districts of the Brest region);
    • "Grodno" (Grodno, Grodno district, Augustow Canal park).
    A tourist must have:
    • a valid passport or other document replacing it;
    • health insurance policy amounting to at least 10 thousand euros;
    • migration card (issued upon entry);
    • a document granting permission to visit any of the visa-free zones. It is issued when purchasing a tour from a certified Belarusian tour operator.
    Starting November 10 – new 15-day visa-free regime

    Starting from November 10, the period of visa-free stay in the western regions will be extended from 10 to 15 days, and the two separate visa-free zones will be merged into one — "Brest - Grodno".

    Belarus is glad to welcome guests. Come and experience new meetings, emotions, and impressions!
