On the home stretch to coming of age. The «Hotline» of the NGO «Business Women's Club» celebrates its 17th anniversary.
If the «hotline» of the NGO «Club of Business Women» were a person, it would be an Aquarius. On February 5, the «hotline» for safe travel and stay abroad and combating human trafficking in the Republic of Belarus will be 17 years old.
Thanks to the fruitful cooperation and constant financial support of the International Organization for Migration in the Republic of Belarus throughout the entire period of operation, the «hotline» has been functioning continuously.
Whether 17 years is a lot or a little, one can judge by the work done.

In 17 years, more than 46 thousand people have called the «hotline». This is like the population of the city of Svetlogorsk in Belarus. Just imagine: the staff of our «hotline» were able to help an entire city. During this time, the organization has gone through a lot of «quests». Some situations can be described in no other way. In the process of work, the «hotline» staff constantly found themselves in new situations. And they made every effort so that unfamiliar circumstances would not scare them, but became a reason for growth. This includes informing about the risks of illegal migration before leaving the country, and preventing cases related to human trafficking.
For five years now, experts have been consulting not only residents of our country, but also foreigners in Belarus who are planning to visit our country.
Business women are not afraid to solve complex problems and deal with difficult social issues, such as preventing
sexual violence and the involvement of minors in pornographic filming, including on the Internet.

WE PRESENT THE TOP DEMANDED HOTLINE QUERIES:

The most popular destination countries for Belarusians:
Russia, Poland, Turkey, Germany, the Czech Republic, Italy, Egypt, Lithuania, Spain, the UAE, Ukraine, France, the USA. Among the less common ones: Bahrain, Sweden, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Tunisia, Jordan, Monaco, Malaysia. We won't list all the countries. There are 119 of them on the list!
Poland and Russia are leading the list. And judging by the number of calls to the hotline, they are not going to give up their leading positions. It is logical that it is from these countries that the majority of crisis appeals related to violation of migrant workers' rights have been received.

On the hotline, the most demanded information is related to employment abroad — most people still go abroad
legally (53%). As for the rest of the citizens, by going abroad they put themselves at risk of being uninformed, which in our case is synonymous with unprotected. During the operation of the hotline, 144 people were assisted in facilitating their return home. Victims of human trafficking, which is 385 clients, were provided with reintegration assistance (legal, medical, psychological, social, etc.)

17 years of hotline activity is a serious path that our team can be proud of. You can't call us typical office plankton. We also break the stereotypes about female teams. Each of us clearly understands our role in the team and knows that we will always find support in a colleague.
We won't teach you what rules must be followed when going abroad. After all, you can always call us.
