To arrange an invitation for a foreigner to Belarus, you must follow these steps:
1. Determine the purpose of the foreigner's visit (business trip, tourism, study, etc.).
2. Choose an organization or an individual who will act as the inviting party.
3. The inviting party must prepare and submit an application for the issuance of an invitation to the internal affairs bodies of the Republic of Belarus.
4. The application must contain the following information:
* Full name of the person being invited;
* Passport details of the person being invited;
* Purpose of the visit;
* Duration of stay in Belarus;
* Address of the place of stay in Belarus.
5. After submitting the application, the inviting party receives a notification that the application has been accepted for consideration.
6. In case of a positive decision, the inviting party receives the invitation, which is then given to the foreigner for visa form.
Important notes:
* The invitation is valid only for a single entry.
* The invitation is not a visa and does not guarantee its issuance.
* Obtaining an invitation may take some time, so it is recommended to start the process in advance.
Let's figure out where you can apply for such an invitation and what you need for that.
The invitation is issued at the Department of Citizenship and Migration (DCM) at the place of permanent residence. There you will be able to get a special application form that needs to be filled out with the following details about the person you are going to invite.
You need to indicate:
- surname and name (be careful: this data must be entered the same as in the foreign passport of the foreign citizen. To avoid mistakes, it is best to have a scan (photo) of the guest's passport - in this case, you can always check his passport details);
- date of birth;
- passport number;
- address of residence.

All the information you enter must be carefully checked:
it must match the real data letter by letter. This is important because each letter will be checked when issuing a visa and a mistake can cause a refusal to issue a visa.
The completed application form is given to the inspector of the Department of Citizenship and Migration. Also, to apply for an invitation, in addition to the application form, you will need to submit the following documents on your part to the DCM:
- your passport;
- in case of inviting a foreign citizen from a country with migration problems - a document confirming the availability of funds to cover the expenses for the period of stay of the person you invite in the Republic of Belarus and the expenses for his departure from the Republic of Belarus - this can be a statement from a bank card account;
- a document confirming payment.
You can get more detailed information at the DCM at your place of residence.
Please note that in accordance with the Decree of the President of Belarus, the period of visa-free stay in Belarus for foreign citizens of 74 countries (including EU countries) is possible for up to 30 days, provided that they enter the country and subsequently leave through the State Border at Minsk National Airport. The 30-day visa-free regime does not apply at other airports and at land international border crossing points. It does not apply to citizens arriving in Belarus by air from Russia, as well as those flying to Russian airports. This is due to the fact that such flights are considered domestic and border control is not carried out on them.
Foreigners can enter our country through air checkpoints without any reason. A PCR test must be done no later than three days before the date of crossing the border of the Republic of Belarus. The medical document must include the citizen's surname, name, patronymic (if any), the date of the test, and the result of the laboratory study (in Belarusian, Russian, or English).
Remember that after arriving from some countries, a guest will have to undergo a 10-day quarantine in Belarus. The list of these countries can be viewed
