Employment in Russia: general information
One of the most frequent questions received by the hotline is about going to work. Russia is still the most popular country among job seekers from Belarus. However, it is not uncommon for poorly informed citizens to fall into labor trafficking. In this article, we will look at the main points of the legal employment procedure in the Russian Federation.
You can find a job in Russia on your own or contact legal entities and individual entrepreneurs who carry out activities related to employment outside the Republic of Belarus, including in Russia, and have a license from the Department of Citizenship and Migration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus. By following the link, you will find
a list of such legal entities and individual entrepreneurs.
Please note that most licensees provide paid employment services.
Next, you need to conclude an agreement with the selected company from the list on assistance in employment (the agreement is concluded in writing in two copies, one of them for you). It will be the basis for paying the licensee's labor, and it must clearly stipulate the rights and obligations of the parties. This document must be kept. You should also keep the document that confirms payment for the company's services. This will make it possible, if necessary, to recover material and moral damages through the court.
! Read the service agreement carefully and sign it only if you are satisfied with everything.

To get a job in Russia, you need a passport, an employment contract, and documents confirming your qualifications.
You can travel to Russia using air and rail services. To cross the border, you must have a medical document with a negative PCR test result for coronavirus (COVID-19), issued no later than 72 hours before arriving in Russia, in the "Traveling without COVID-19" app, as well as a face mask for being on the plane/train.
Call center employees are often asked whether a PCR test is needed if there is a certificate of vaccination with the Russian vaccine. Simplifying the entry rules for vaccinated citizens has been discussed many times. Currently, an agreement has not been reached, so a PCR test is required, even if you have been vaccinated.
This information is for reference only. Any questions related to employment abroad and the documents required for this should be resolved directly through the authorized bodies and (preferably) with a preliminary consultation with a lawyer. This way you can avoid unpleasant moments when signing papers and misunderstandings in the process with your future employer.
Be vigilant and take care of yourself.
If you have any further questions, you can ask them by calling the hotline.
