    A trip to Spain to get acquainted. What you need to know

    We often receive questions about the rules for safe travel for dating — many girls go to a personal meeting after getting to know their significant other online. However, it is necessary to remember that even if you trust the person, you should not neglect your safety, especially when traveling abroad. We have compiled simple rules that should be followed before leaving the country.

    SAFE TRAVEL RULES

    1. Have tickets for both directions (you can take a return ticket with an open date).

    2. Take funds for financial independence.

    3. Make photocopies of all documents and leave one copy at home.

    4. Know the exact address and phone number of your acquaintance (fiancé), leave this information for relatives, call home regularly, agree on a code phrase in advance.

    5. Keep your passport with you, do not give it to anyone under any pretext.

    6. Understand that if you are traveling for the purpose of dating, you do not have the right to work (except in cases where you have a work visa).

    7. Know the phone numbers of the embassy or consulate of Belarus or Russia in the host country, non-governmental organizations that provide assistance abroad.

    8. Know the emergency hotline number. Leave the same phone number for your relatives.

    We also remind you that restrictions still apply for land travel from Belarus, and a substantial package of documents is required to enter some countries. We receive many inquiries about traveling to Spain — let's see how things stand with this country.

    As we mentioned above, at present, departure through land borders for Belarusian citizens from the Republic of Belarus is temporarily suspended (details on who is allowed to leave can be found on the website of the State Border Committee of the Republic of Belarus https://gpk.gov.by/covid-19/). Visiting relatives and tourism are not grounds for leaving Belarus by land.

    For Belarusian citizens, departure is not restricted through air checkpoints.

    Regarding entry into Spain, unrestricted entry is currently allowed for vaccinated foreigners for tourist purposes. Citizens who have a vaccination certificate are entitled to enter the country. At the same time, vaccinations must be done with a drug approved by the EU or WHO. Currently, the list includes vaccines: Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca, Janssen, Sinopharm, and Sinovac-CoronaVac.

    The following can also enter Spain without restrictions:

    - family members of Spanish or EU citizens (spouses, permanent partners, engaged couples, parents, children);

    - sailors and transport workers;

    - students;

    - to participate in court or criminal proceedings;

    - for the purpose of treatment.

    The information is up to date as of the date of publication. Monitor the situation with border crossing yourself, or call the hotline; we will be happy to help you.

    If you have any remaining questions, you can ask them by calling the hotline.
