    Crossing the border of the Republic of Belarus: information for travelers and visitors to the country

    If you are planning a trip to Belarus, you need to know certain things that will help you avoid problems at the border. We have collected information about who can enter the country by land transport, as well as in what cases you do not have to self-isolate, what requirements are imposed on the vaccination certificate and what it provides. This information will be useful for those who are planning to return to Belarus or make a guest visit.

    1. So, who is allowed to enter Belarus by land transport?

    - Citizens of Belarus and foreigners who have permanent residence permit or temporary residence permit in the Republic of Belarus, as well as spouses, parents or children of foreigners who have a permanent residence permit in Belarus can enter "by land";

    - Foreigners who are going to Belarus to get a COVID-19 vaccine;

    - Foreigners who are traveling to the country upon notification of the serious illness or death of a close relative;

    - Persons accompanying foreigners following such notification;

    - Those who come to Belarus at the invitation of legal entities registered in Belarus;

    - Those who arrive to receive medical care, as well as those who accompany them;

    - Foreigners who are spouses, parents or children of citizens of the Republic of Belarus;

    - Foreigners with documents for employment in the territory of Belarus;

    - Citizens of Russia who are traveling in transit through the territory of the Republic of Belarus to Russia;

    - And others.

    If you do not fit into any of the categories listed above, then entry into Belarus is allowed only through airports.

    Important! Before your trip, be sure to check the documents to provide that confirm the purpose of your visit at the checkpoints.

    2. Who can avoid self-isolation and not show a PCR test when crossing the Belarusian border?

    - those who have a COVID-19 vaccination certificate (full course);

    - foreigners arriving in the Republic of Belarus on an invitation from legal entities registered in the Republic of Belarus;

    - citizens of the Republic of Belarus, as well as foreigners who have permanent residence or temporary residence documents, arriving in Belarus after a business trip;

    - persons traveling to Belarus upon notification of serious illness or death of a close relative, spouse (spouse), as well as persons accompanying them;

    - and others.

    3. What are the requirements for the vaccination certificate?

    - the certificate must be on paper in Belarusian/Russian and (or) English;

    - the vaccination course must be completed at least 1 month and no more than 12 months before the date of crossing the Belarusian border;

    - it must indicate the surname, first name, patronymic (if any) of the citizen, the date of completion of the vaccination course (in Belarusian/Russian and (or) English).

    If you do not have a vaccination certificate and grounds for entry without a test, you must provide a negative PCR test performed no earlier than 72 hours before crossing the Belarusian border (the expiration date of the test is counted from the moment of collection of biomaterial for research).
