Admission to Poland. Information for parents of applicants
Every year, Belarusian students enroll in Polish universities. More than 7,000 Belarusians are currently students at Polish educational institutions. Some alma mater were built back in the 14th century. But it's not just the architecture that attracts students; they come to Poland primarily to obtain the necessary diploma, allowing them to become highly qualified specialists in any field. Polish universities support the Bologna Process.
Higher education in Poland includes two levels, as in other countries participating in the Bologna Process: bachelor's and master's degrees. In the first case, studies last 3-3.5 years, for a master's degree – 1.5-2 years. Some specialties take five years. After obtaining a master's degree, you can continue your studies in doctoral programs. After writing and defending a scientific work, doctoral students receive a PhD degree.
Studying in Poland can be paid or free. You can study full-time, part-time, or in the evening. Admission of students is carried out twice a year: for the summer and winter semesters.
Some Polish universities offer English-language study programs. But Belarusians often choose double diplomas, where, in addition to the Polish one, you can also get an English or French diploma, depending on which European university the Polish university cooperates with.

In Polish universities, it is not customary to accumulate academic debts. The reputation of the educational institution and the knowledge that students come for are paramount. Therefore, even those who study full-time can be expelled for poor academic performance.
To enroll in a Polish university, you need to:
— decide on your choice of specialty
— get acquainted with the admission conditions of the university, the cost of tuition
— you also need a high school diploma
— birth certificate;
— medical certificate;
— certificate of knowledge of the Polish language.
Sometimes, along with submitting documents, it is necessary to pass exams, an interview, or a creative competition.
