10 countries where Belarusians can go on vacation right now

The situation with borders is changing almost every day. In such conditions, it is difficult to plan not only vacations, but also business trips. We have compiled a list of 10 countries that are currently open for visits. We hope this will help you take care of and plan your vacation in advance.

We constantly update the information on the website – follow the updates or ask questions by calling the hotline numbers 113, 8-801-201-5555

    1. Ukraine

Belarusians can enter Ukraine, since March 5, 2021, Belarus is in the "green" zone. You can enter Ukraine without a PCR test and without being in self-isolation for 14 days. However, in any case, there must be an insurance policy covering the costs of treating COVID-19, issued by a Ukrainian insurance company or a foreign insurance company that has a representative office in Ukraine.

After returning to Belarus, self-isolation for 10 days is required.

    2. Egypt

To visit Egypt, Belarusians need a PCR test taken no earlier than 72 hours before departure. A visa is not required until April 30, if the flight is charter.

Recently, tour operators have begun to include the cost of a PCR test in the package of their services (check this point with the tour operator of your choice). Prices for tours start from $400 per person.

What is the situation in Egypt now?

At the moment, in the popular resort of Sharm el-Sheikh, some hotels are closed, the open ones are about 50% full. The prices for excursions have slightly decreased.

Self-isolation after returning to Belarus is not required if the flight is direct. If the return flight is through a red zone, for example, Ukraine, then the conditions for self-isolation must be met.

    3. Turkey

To enter Turkey, Belarusians need a negative PCR test taken no earlier than 72 hours before departure. A visa is not required.

What is the situation in Turkey now?

Since the end of November, all establishments are closed, restaurants operate for takeaway or delivery, shops close at 20:00.

In Istanbul, mandatory wearing of masks is introduced (for everyone). Fines for violating the mask regime are 600—900 lira ($85—125).

A HES code (pass for traveling around the country during the pandemic) is required for everyone (including tourists). Without it, you will not be allowed on transportation, and it may be checked at the entrance to a shopping center, post office, bank, or government agency. Apartment rental prices vary.

If you still decide to fly, it's better to look for and book accommodation in advance.

After returning to Belarus, self-isolation for 10 days is required, as Turkey was added to the "Red Zone" on December 3, 2020.

    4. Georgia.

Entry into the country is allowed for Belarusians starting from March 1, provided there is a PCR test taken no earlier than 72 hours before crossing the border.

What is the current situation in Georgia?

There are many restrictions in Georgia now: curfew (from 21:00 to 05:00), limited operation of winter resorts, a ban on intercity passenger transportation, and mandatory wearing of masks outdoors and in enclosed spaces.

Also, national parks are closed in Georgia, and restaurants only offer delivery. In Tbilisi, public transport was not operating until February 22, and only taxis could be used (with a possible seating of two people in the back seat). Non-food stores opened only at the beginning of February. Only those hotels that passed the inspection by the local Ministry of Health are operating.

Many tourist sites are closed — even outdoors. It's difficult to find a guide, as many have changed jobs or left.

Fines: for not wearing a mask — 20 lari (about $6), for violating the curfew — 2000 lari (about $604).

After returning: self-isolation for 10 days is required in Belarus.

    5. Slovenia.

Slovenia recently opened its borders to travelers from Belarus, so this country can also be considered as a destination for отдых. If you fall into the category of foreigners who have received both doses of the Biontech / Pfizer vaccine (and at least 7 days have passed since the vaccination), MODERNA (at least 14 days), and AstraZeneca (at least 21 days), then you will not have to take a test before traveling and undergo quarantine upon arrival.

For those who have not been vaccinated, there are two options for entry: take a coronavirus test and get a certificate with a negative result (not earlier than 48 hours before entry) or undergo a 10-day quarantine in Slovenia.

After returning from Slovenia, self-isolation for 10 days is required in Belarus.
