NGO "Business Women's Club": 30 years of professional support, development and care for people

History and formation of the organization.

The public association “Business Women's Club” is one of the most authoritative and sustainable non-profit organizations of the Republic of Belarus working in the social sphere. The organization was created in 1993, in 1995 it was officially registered with the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus, and since 1997 its permanent chairman is Larisa Nikolaevna Istomova.

Mission and strategic goals.

Today, the Business Women's Club is a professional, dynamically developing, socially oriented organization that provides information and consulting services to solve significant social problems of society. The strategic goal of the organization is to create conditions for an integrated approach: from emergency assistance to a person in crisis to the development of a woman’s personality, strengthening her economic independence and increasing her role in society. In its activities, the Business Women's Club focuses on quality, sustainability and long-term social impact.

Main areas of activity.

The key areas of work of the NGO “Business Women’s Club” are combating human trafficking and illegal migration and HIV/AIDS prevention. Hotline: help that is always nearby.

One of the flagship activities is the information hotline on issues of safe migration and combating human trafficking, operating since February 5, 2003. The hotline operates free of charge throughout Belarus (number 113 and “green number” 8-801-201-5555), and also accepts calls from abroad +375 162 21 8888 and through the organization’s website www.bpwbrest.by. Over the years of work, specialists of the Business Women's Club have provided assistance with more than 80,000 telephone and electronic requests. There are no “frivolous” calls here - every request is considered carefully, professionally and with sincere participation.

Working with target groups.

The organization's activities cover a wide range of target groups:

Belarusian citizens traveling abroad;
people who find themselves in a crisis situation abroad;
victims of human trafficking;
foreign citizens arriving in Belarus;
women at risk and their families;
state and social services, business structures, NGOs, initiative groups and donors.

This approach allows the organization to be an effective platform for interaction between different sectors of society and building interdepartmental cooperation.

The Public Association "Business Women's Club" is rightfully considered a reliable partner at the international, national and regional levels. Among the organization’s partners are key ministries of the Republic of Belarus, the International Organization for Migration, the Global Fund, public associations and large business structures.
