Non-governmental organization “Baranovichi Business Women Club “Prestige”
Non-governmental organization “Baranovichi Business Women Club “Prestige” was registered by Department of Justice of Brest regional executive board under №7/3 from 8th, September 2006, license №01-0185. The organization was re-registered on 16th, April 2012 by the resolution of the head of Main Department of Justice of Brest regional board under №33, license №01-0374.
“Baranovichi Business Women Club “Prestige corporate objective: consolidating of women for the defense of their legal rights and interests, assistance in self-realization and achieving of life success of women in modern society, as well as increasing the number of opportunities for women.
“Baranovichi Business Women Club “Prestige essential tasks:
- Working out and implementation of programs and campaigns aimed at promotion and defense of women’s interests, women’s and their children’s healthcare;
- Consolidation in forming of conscious understanding of women’s rights, role and duties to the society;
- Spreading of social, cultural and economic information for women and their families;
- Propaganda of the family institution , its influence and value in the society;
- Assistance in organizing of rest and healthcare to women and their families;
- Popularization of women entrepreneurship and women’s experience in the business sphere;
- Providing humanitarian aid and charity support to women and their families;
- Providing assistance to unemployed women;
- Establishment of partnership with organizations, people from abroad who represent similar activity as Non-governmental organization “Baranovichi Business Women Club “Prestige”;
- Information exchange with international women movements.
Main areas of activity:
2004-2006 - preventive and educational measures on human trafficking. Thanks to cooperation with International Organization for Migration our organization managed to conduct about 150 meetings in schools, colleges, the employment centre, and NGOs. 3000 people participated in these meetings. We also provided teachers of Baranavochi lyceum with methodical help and informational materials and leaflets for distribution among pupils while conducting preventive and educational work on human trafficking problem.
2005-2009 – integration of socially defenseless citizens in modern society, in particular orphans and children under guardianship and custody. Projects – “From the school leaver to the student”, “New colors of my life”, “Contact made” with the financial support of Federal Government of German program on support of Belarus. During the implementation of program 60 orphans living in Baranovichi and Baranovichi district got various support.
2011- present – additional education of adult people (the older generation) for sustainable development of the territory. Projects “We are not afraid of age!” with financial support of representative office of registered community «Deutscher Volkshochschul-Verband e.V.» (GFR); project “Always active” in assistance with Federal Government of German program on support of Belarus. Thanks to this project activity it became possible to organize a short-term course “Fundamentals of computer and Internet competence”. It was organized for 140 people at the age of 55 and older. The first competition “The best computer and Internet user at the age of more than 60 and alder” was organized in Baranovichi.
