Implemented projects
The activity of “Business Women Club” is directed to prevention of negative social phenomena, to public education and informing society about the problems which a modern woman and her family can face. We have been implementing projects in different spheres of social life for 17 years. These spheres include: women’s professional development, preservation of health of a woman and her family, prevention of negative phenomena, as well as working with consequence of such phenomena. Every project was implemented powered by originally womanlike features of character: mercy, kindness, non-violence, sense of justice, self-neglect, compassion to all people. We are sure that only socially and legally defended, financially independent woman can be satisfied with modern life, and is able to realize her professional and creative potential, to participate in decision making process in the successfully developing civil society.

Organizing and holding of joint activities on human trafficking problem with Brest Region Investigative Committee Administration of the Republic of Belarus.
The project “Organizing and holding of joint activities on human trafficking problem with Brest Region Investigative Committee Administration of the Republic of Belarus” was implemented in 2012-2013 with the financial support of US Embassy small grants program in the Republic of Belarus.
Project goal: Working-out of the collaborative mechanism with newly formed establishment Brest Region Investigative Committee Administration on the issues of counter trafficking in persons and working with victims of worker exploitation, sexual abuse or any other exploitation by means of taking joint precautions.
The counter trafficking textbook: «The counter trafficking textbook: current state and possible cooperation between law-enforcement authorities and non-governmental organizations” was published during implementation of the project. The authors of the counter trafficking textbook are candidate of legal sciences, assistance professor, Maksim Shrub (introduction, chapters 1-4, section 4.1, 4.3, conclusion, appendix 1,2). Business Women Club chairman, Larisa Istomova (section 4.2, appendix 3,4). The textbook is intended for professional association on counter trafficking – in persons, for law enforcement officials and non-governmental organizations, as well as scientific workers, students of higher educational establishments and juridical faculties. Information materials were printed for distributing among investigative officers of Brest Region Investigative Committee Administration in the Republic of Belarus during seminars held in Baranovichi District Department of Investigative Committee of the Republic of Belarus with the involvement of Gantsevichi, Ivatsevichi, Bereza, Pruzhany, Baranovichi District Departments and Baranovichi City Department of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Belarus; in Pinsk District Department of Investigative Committee of the Republic of Belarus with the involvement of Stolin, Pinsk, Luninets, Ivanovo District Departments and Pinsk City Departme; in Brest District Department of Investigative Committee of the Republic of Belarus with the involvement of Kobrin, Drogichin, Kamenets, Gabinka, Malorita, Brest, Leninski (Brest), Moskovski (Brest) District Departments of Investigative Committee of the Republic of Belarus.
Implemented project. 2009-2012. “Counter trafficking in persons: work with risk group representatives and specialists”.
Holding of informational presentations with pupils of 10-11 classes on counter trafficking in persons, domestic violence preventive measures, formation of gender culture and youth economic empowerment within the project. “Counter trafficking in persons: work with risk group representatives and specialists”. The project was implemented in 2009-2012 with the assistance of International social organization “Gender Perspectives”.
Project goal: Human trafficking prevention and minimizing of its initial reasons.
17 informational presentations were held for 340 pupils of 10-11 classes of Brest schools.
Implemented project. 2006-2012. “Human trafficking prevention by means of economic potential increase in Brest Region”.
The project “Human trafficking prevention by means of economic potential increase in Brest Region” was implemented in 2006-2012 with the assistance of International Organization for Migration in the Republic of Belarus.
Project goal: By holding seminars “Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship” and “Effective work search” to give an idea of skills and abilities necessary for efficient start up and its further running; to provide information about how to write a successful business-plan; to increase competitive ability on labour market of young men and women, aged from 18 to 30, by means of teaching them effective self-presentations, writing CVs, and skills of passing interviews successfully.
27 seminars on effective work search for 350 young men and women were held, 75% of participants were hired afterwards.
A seminar “How to make a start-up” for 10 future entrepreneurs was held. Participants of the seminar managed to write efficient business plans for their start-up.
Implemented project. 2006-2012. “ Preventive care ant treatment HIV/ AIDS in the Republic of Belarus”.
The project “ Preventive care ant treatment of HIV/ AIDS in the Republic of Belarus” was implemented in 2006-2012 with the assistance of Global Fund to fight AIDS, TB and Malaria.
Project goal: “ Preventive care ant treatment HIV-infections and sexually-transmitted infections (STIs) among women of sex business and the youth of Brest and Brest area.

The project “Organizing and holding of joint activities on the human trafficking problem with churchmen and representatives of various religious confessions of Brest and Brest area” was implemented in 2010-2011 with the assistance of International Organization for Migration in the Republic of Belarus.
Project goal: to raise the level of awareness of churchmen and representatives of various religious organizations of Brest and Brest area in relation to the human trafficking phenomena, to pay their attention to the importance of participating in solving of this problem by means of religious implications (sermons, meetings, lectures etc), as well as to provide spiritual and social support to human trafficking victims.
Implemented project. 2010-2011. “Operating of hotline on prevention of human trafficking in the Republic of Belarus”.
The project “Operating of hotline on prevention of human trafficking in the Republic of Belarus” was implemented in 2010-2011 with the assistance of the US Embassy in the Republic of Belarus.
Project goal: increasing of the opportunities for all citizens of the Republic of Belarus of getting useful information on safe leaving and staying abroad by means of strengthening technological capacity of hotline:
- providing free access from mobile networks (A1, MTS) when using 9-801-201-5555;
- providing simplified free access from corded telephone to short number 113 from all parts of Belarus without area codes.
Implemented projects. 2009-2010. “ Informing of military men of Brest area on counter-trafficking in persons in the Republic of Belarus”.
The project “Informing of military men of Brest area on counter-trafficking in persons in the Republic of Belarus” was implemented in 2009-2010 with the assistance of International Organization for Migration in the Republic of Belarus.
Project goal: to raise law knowledge of military men (officer personnel and personnel assets) in military units of Brest area on counter-trafficking in persons in the Republic of Belarus and to take preventive measures on human trafficking crimes by means of holding informational seminars and conferences.
Implemented project. 2005-2006. Series of round tables “Popularization of small and medium business in Brest Region”.
Holding of series of round tables “Popularization of small and medium business in Brest Region” in 5 towns of Brest Area – in Kobryn, Kamenets, Pinsk, Baranovichi, Brest. The project was implemented in 2005-2006 with the assistance of International Organization for Migration in the Republic of Belarus.
Project goal: involving of businessmen in solving of socially important problems, including human trafficking prevention, forming of the social responsibility level of business segment.
Implemented project. 2004. "РUBlicity against AIDS" project.
“РUBlicity against AIDS" project was implemented in 2004 with the assistance of “Business Women Club”, Mercedes Benz, UNDP Poland, “Avante” Charity Fund.
Project goal: limitation of advance of epidemic of HIV/ AIDS among truck drivers, crossing the border of Poland, Belarus and Ukraine.
Implemented project. 2003. “Prevention of women human trafficking”.
The project “ Prevention of women human trafficking by means of increasing of economic potential in the Republic of Belarus” was implemented in 2003 with the assistance of Winock International.
Project goal: holding of training program among unemployed womed “ How not to become human trafficking victim”, “How to get a job”, “How to start your own business”.
2002-2003. “Near, but a little up ahead” ( with the assistance of United Nations Children’s Fund).
Implemented project. 2001-2003. “Creating of the network of Business Women Clubs”.
Implementation of the project was in towns of Breast Area. Clubs were founded in Baranovichi, Pinsk, Kobryn. The project was implemented in 2001-2003.
Project goal: development assistance of women’s movement by means of formation, development and strengthening of women’s social activism in Brest Area.
Implemented project. 2001. Scientific and practical conference “Participation of women non-governmental organizations in Global Movement for children”. The project was implemented in 2001 with the assistance of United Nations Children’s Fund in the Republic of Belarus.
Project goal: changing of public conscience and activating of women organization activity on enforcement of children’s rights.
Implemented project. 2001. Round table “Woman human trafficking – enforcement or good will”. The project was implemented with the assistance of Advisory and Monitoring Group of Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe.

Implemented project. 1999-2001. Conducting of the program of women defend in extreme conditions.
Conducting of the program of women defend in extreme conditions. Work with women in imprisonment places. The project was implemented in 1999 with the assistance of Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe and various religious confessions.
Project goal: social, psychological and medical support; adaptation and rehabilitation of women, serving their sentence. Providing women with hygiene products, medicine, handing out of second-hand clothes, bedclothes, charity dinners.
Implemented project. 1999-2000. Conducting of the educational program on prevention of HIV/AIDS .

The project was implemented in 1999-2000 with the assistance of United Nations Development Program in the Republic of Belarus, Regional Public Organization “BelAU”.
Project goal: working out of safe behavior with the purpose of HIV/ AIDS prevention and prevention of sexually transmitted diseases among risk group ( the youth, women of sex-business, drug addicted, and men having relationship with men).

Project goal: development of the essentials of the image of a modern woman” ( with the assistance of beauty salon “Image”).

Charity event series in 38th brigade of mobile forces of the Republic of Belarus “How are you in the army, dear son?”. The project was implemented in 1997-1998 with the assistance of “Business Women Club” and commercial organizations.
Project goal: getting to know with every day life of young soldiers in subdivisions; encouragement of best soldiers; defence of rights of military men.

Holding of the first city conference “Women will make the world better by the year 2000”. The project was implemented in 1997 with the assistance of “Business Women Club” and commercial organizations.
Project goal: the conference is dedicated to gender equity issues, achievements and problems of Brest Area women and cooperation of women organizations.
